Women’s Aid - Workshop

As part of the end of session leaving party, I facilitated a casual workshop with an aftercare group accessing Women’s Aid. The aim was to have some light fun, a few laughs, do something creative and take home a personal gift.

We played a few warmups as a group as snacks were enjoyed, and used both crayons and play dough.

Once everyone had become comfortable with their own abilities and sharing in front of the group, each person created their own design that they could remember the group by. I then taught then one by one to draw up that design on Adobe Illustrator and create a smooth line drawing. I then transferred the designs to a precision cutting editor and we cut the designs out of iron on vinyl. The participants then aligned the designs and ironed them on to create their own custom one-of-a-kind t-shirt.
