Wee Smashers - After School Art Club

Wee Smashers is a weekly after school art club that I run from my studio in Auchterarder, Pertshire. `I run two sessions of different age groups when the numbers allow, otherwise aiming for an older primary + lower secondary grouping, to help push the concept of what young people can do and what older young people get told they can’t do anymore.

During school holidays Wee Smashers becomes special day workshops or longer sessions over a few days, giving the time for more advanced mediums like spray paint to be used.

Young people get to try their hand at a new medium, technique or learn about a new artist each session. We play with what materials people often have at home, or can purchase cheaply. We also play with high grade arts material that they would not normally have the opportunity to experiment with.
