Unicorns of Perth, Unite!

The new Perth Museum is now home to two amazing art pieces, in the form of activist jackets, created from the project Unicorns of Perth Unite!

Working with two established groups of young queer people, I facilitated workshops looking at the different elements of queer culture in each location - Perth WA Australia, and Perth Scotland.

We learnt how to use a variety of different mediums and tools to work with fabric and textiles and wearable art, and spent time looking at curation and how to make all the elements that everybody created come together.

Made to accompany the Destiny exhibition, these jackets are now on display on the second floor in the free section of the Perth Museum.
